A cause for Creativity

Mural Project is a non-profit that is passionate about empowering youth and special needs adults by helping them create beautiful murals in their own spaces. Our gradational workshops guide participants through the creation of a mural they help design! We want participants to express themselves and learn how art can create a way to interact with the world around them and cultivate another form of communication. Public art has a responsibility to preserve and create culture, form understanding that’s based on empathy, self worth and community. Our process will not only teach technical skills, composition and color theory but also teamwork, collaboration, cooperation and confidence. Contrasting to a traditional art project that is shared with few, participants in our workshops view their murals often instilling a repeated sense of pride, accomplishment and self worth.
